And by all accounts you can’t argue with the man’s philosophy; it would seem he has a knack for taking a business that is doing OK and turning it in to a magnet for money. One thing that caught my attention in the article was Branson’s attitude to employing people with regard to their academic qualifications. And perhaps this is what separates him from many others who think very differently? By employing people who don’t necessarily have an outstanding academic record – but do show potential if you look in the right places – he has made many businesses work, with success across the world.
